To build a birdhouse, follow these simple steps:

Gather Materials: You'll need wood (such as pine), nails, a hammer, a saw, a drill, and outdoor paint or sealant.

Cut Wood: Cut the wood into the following pieces: two 8x8-inch squares for the front and back, two 6x8-inch rectangles for the sides, a 6x6-inch square for the bottom, and a 8x6-inch rectangle for the roof.

Assemble Front and Back: Nail the front and back pieces between the two side pieces to form a box, leaving the top open.

Attach Bottom: Nail the bottom piece onto the box to create a closed structure.

Add Roof: Attach the roof piece to the top of the box, leaving an overhang to protect the entrance.

Drill Entrance Hole: Drill a 1-1.5 inch hole near the top of the front piece for the birds to enter.

Paint or Seal: Paint the birdhouse with outdoor paint or apply a sealant to protect it from the elements.

Hang the Birdhouse: Attach a hook or hanger to the top of the birdhouse and hang it in a safe and suitable location.

Optional: Add a perch below the entrance hole, but make sure it's not too long to prevent predators from reaching inside.
