By SamK on March 06, 2024

On Windows:

1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box. Type "msinfo32" and press Enter.
2. In the System Information window, look for the "System Type" item in the right pane. If it says "x64-based PC," your computer is 64-bit.

On macOS:

1. Click the Apple logo in the top-left corner of the screen.
2. Select "About This Mac". A window will appear showing an overview of your Mac, including the processor type.
3. Look for "Processor" or "Chip" information. If it says "Intel Core Solo," "Intel Core Duo," "Intel Core 2 Duo," "Intel Xeon," or "Intel Quad-Core Xeon," your Mac is 64-bit.
