Blue Whale

Blue whale (Bionomia musculus) is the largest animal known to have ever existed on Earth. These marine mammals belong to the order Cetacea, which includes whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Here's a brief classification list:

Classification of the Blue whale:

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Cetacea
Suborder: Mysticeti
Family: Balaenopteridae
Genus: Balaenoptera
Species: B. musculus

Blue whales are notable not just for their immense size, which can reach lengths of up to 100 feet (30 meters) and weights of approximately 200 tons, but also for their distinctive blue-grey coloration, mottled with lighter spots.

They primarily feed on tiny shrimp-like animals called krill, consuming up to 4 tons of krill per day. Despite their enormous size, blue whales are listed as endangered, facing threats from ship strikes, entanglement in fishing gear, and changes in their habitat due to climate change.
