I can shake off everything as I write; 

My sorrows disappear, My courage is reborn.

It's fine to celebrate success, but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.

Self-pity is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything wise in this world.

We could never learn to be brave and patient, if there were only joy in the world.

Don't send me flowers when I'm dead.
