Are Antibiotics Helpful in Treatment of COVID-19?

The simple answer is NO. Antibiotics won't help in case of COVID-19 because they do not work against viruses, they only work on bacterial infections.

COVID-19 is caused by a virus, so antibiotics do not work. Viruses need vaccines for treatment and there is none available yet to treat COVID-19.

Antibiotics should not be used as a means of prevention or treatment of COVID-19. They should only be used as directed by a registered physician to treat a respective bacterial infection.
