Vaccines for Treatment of COVID-19?

By SamK on April 08, 2020
Is there a Vaccine or Treatment for COVID-19?

The following vaccines are approved and available for the treatment of COVID-19:

Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent: This is a combination of FDA-approved mRNA-1273 vaccine (Spikevax) and a vaccine that has more activity against the Omicron BA.4/BA.5 strains.

Pfizer, Inc., and BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent: This vaccine is a combination of the FDA-approved BNT162b2 vaccine (Comirnaty) and a vaccine that has more activity against the Omicron BA.4/BA.5 strains.

The FDA has also authorized Novavax as a booster vaccination for people age 18 and older who cannot access other COVID-19 vaccines, people for whom other COVID-19 vaccines are not clinically appropriate, or people who would not otherwise receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
